Karen March

In 1991, Karen retired from a long career in Interior Design to pursue her first love, painting. She feels it has been an exciting adventure as well as a wonderful blessing to her life.

Karen has exhibited at The Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach  participated in The Art-A-Fair of Laguna Beach , as well as many other art shows in the Western United States.  Karen also presented private “trunk shows” at Nordstrom’s in the South Coast Plaza and Zion’s Bank Art Show in Provo. Her paintings are in private collections across the world.

She moved to St George, Utah in 2008 and is active in the “art community”. She is the past President of the Dixie Watercolor Society.

Karen paints many subjects, taking as her inspiration the challenge to capture ‘certain moments’ in time.

Karen is still so in love with transparent watercolors and the exciting effects only they can create that she remains dedicated to this media. She considers herself a “purest” and uses no white paint at all.

Teaching art classes is a pleasure to her.  Her students are enthusiastic and praise her skills as a teacher.  She also demonstrates her techniques and presents workshops to art groups.
