Sahron (Shari) Cannon

Sharon (Shari) Cannon is a California native and Utah resident. She has
a Masters Degree in Art Ed with emphasis in studio art. She has studied
art at BYU, Snow College, U of U, U of Wisconsin, and under talented
artists in several states and JK Reed in New Zealand. She taught Jr.
High art for years and now is loving the time to do her own art. She is
a member of UWS, SUWS, and Watercolor West and loves to associate with
other artists. Her current watercolor heroes are Tim Clark, Carl
Purcell, Roland Lee, and JK Reed.

Her paintings are of things she loves in life: the beaches from Baja to
New Zealand, Southwestern and Midwestern landscapes, children, ordinary
people, and ordinary cats. Her artist's statement : "I love watching and
seeing children, light and shadows, oceans, sea birds, textures of old
walls and ancient structures, people working, anything visually
interesting! I want to remember these things with the spontaneity and
freshness of watercolors so I keep working and learning. My favorite
painting is always the next one I'm going to do!"

She is a 3-time exhibitor at the Laguna Beach (California) Art-a-Fair Festival in the
summers.  You can access her website  or check her out as
